Af. 1) אַחֵים to heat, excite, v. חוּם. 2) אַחְמַם to become hot; to have pollution. Nidd.43a כל אחְמוּמֵי והדר א׳וכ׳ getting heated once and again immediately after. Ithpa. אִתְחַמֵּם, Ithpe. אִיחֲמַם 1) to warm ones self. Targ. Y. II Gen. 18:1.Sabb.110b כד איח׳ ed. (Ms. M. אַחְ׳, v. supra) when he had warmed himself. 2) to restrain ones anger. Targ. II Esth. 5:10 (prob. to be read: ואִתְחַמַּס, v. חֲמַס; cmp. חֲסַן).
